A new article that I am about to circulate. I know this is review to the old hands but we need this kind of content for the next generations.

[/size]

What were the Basic survival Essentials Carried in the Frontiersman’s Hunting Bag? How it was better known as a ‘Bullet Pouch’ and why you should never call it a ‘possibles bag’.

Very interesting, Tsalagidave.

I've bookmarked the site, as I see that there is a lot of good info there.

Thanks for posting that article, Tsalagidave. I will also bookmark that site. Now I can avoid using that "possibles bag" term.

Interesting read,  thanks for sharing the link.  I actually just finished reading Ruxton's book, he led a very interesting although short life. I find it interesting also that the pull through bore brush is not a modern invention.(Bore Snake)

My bag is now my "bullet pouch!,   B.N.S.

I still don't have anything in my pouch, as I still need to make it.  This is great information, Dave!

Thank you for the replies everyone. Glad you like the article. I really try to focus on using references of publications that can be easily accessed by those interested in further reading.

I was talking with a friend and I think I will finally do the blanket roll. I have a nice homespun gray blanket with light blue bands that was loomed some time between 1785 and 1850. It's in pristine shape and I still use it on occasion.

Dave,

I've seen your hunting bag and I look forward to seeing and hearing about your blanket roll. Sounds like that blanket is a real piece of history. KOOL!
