We've been having soup pretty regular, too. Bought some (somewhat) cheap turkeys after Thanksgiving, every now and have another thanksgiving dinner, then boil down the remains for stock. Make some soup and freeze the extra broth for later.

We get quite a few turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Currently have 4 in the freezer. Make soup outta the broth also.

Our farm Vet is about 25 miles away, I drove there yesterday and picked up injectable wormer, for the Boss last.

Your wife has worms::)

Rita eats some of that canned soup, not me, do noodles and critter, did bacon and beans the other night but can hardly be called soup, don't have enough water.

Last time I got an urge for soup I gave up, ain't paying $11 a pound for ox tail, I'm sure the Yuppies have something to do with that also.

Thanks for the Coffee Slim

Raining here - nothing new about that.

Rehoming the pig today, I hope.  She has been doctoring a sick Buck. (Blout )Looks like he will survive this time.  I think too much green clover or too much feed.

Well, we're back on the air here. Decided after church to get some more firewood, cut a dead tree and dragged it back to the yard, with the big tractor. Front loader with bale spike. The hydraulics tend to leak down on this tractor. So the bale spike nosed down into the ground while I was cutting up the wood. Who would have guessed it happened to bury itself RIGHT INTO THE SATELLITE CABLE!!!! Tried re routing through a no longer used satellite TV cable, no good. Guess that was why DirecTV quit working.... Sooooo I resorted to "Redneck engineering" Stripped the ends of the co-ax cable, twisted to inner wire together, taped it, and twisted the outer braid and taped it and VIOLA!! We're back. At least for now. Guess I need some proper cable repair stuff, or else run a whole new cable.

Thanks for the Coffee Slim-

Overcast and warm here 60 today.

Need to restock bird and tree rat feeders today.  Have upwards of 20 breeds of birds - maybe a hundred total that feed there. 5 tree rats.
2 chipmunks. The hard part is keeping the cats out of the shooting gallery.
Yesterday one of our hens traveledup here and discovered the treats.

A trip to town a bit later. Michael s or HobbyLobby. Maybe Tractor supply

Afternoon all.

Got back into Billings last night around 11pm. Drive was good, just long.

Nothing really new around here. Weather is "warm" at 34 degrees and no wind.

Warming trend here, about half the snow gone.   Gonna rain in a day or two, record snow, record ground frost, record ice on Rivers, glad I'm 50 feet above the flood plain.
