According to the Poor Man's '73 Action Job
http://www.davidscottharper.com/shoot/PoorMan.htm you can adjust the lever/carrier spring tension by adjusting their respective screws instead of installing new Action Springs.
You can also adjust the mainspring tension by installing a washer and backing out the tension screw on the lower tang.
Has anyone done this and does it have merit, and does it have any long term effects, eg wearing out the screws etc?
Thanks.
