The woman is apparently a Nellie Bly-type character, the American reporter who circumnavigated the world IRL in 1890 in an effort to beat Verne's fictional character's record. She did it in 72 days, taking time to even meet with Jules Verne during the French leg of her trip.

Evening all.

Good to see you on the right side of the sod, Roo. It is indeed cold and white here in ZooTown. Actually had to bust out the Carhartt yesterday. It only accumulated about 4-5 inches of white stuff, but it was really wet and slippery, then the temperature dropped more, so the whole city got a sheet of ice. According to local news, there were nearly 100 reported accidents, 4 fatalities. I saw no less than a dozen throughout the day. The Mrs made me drive her home.

In other news, I’m heading to Spokane tomorrow for my final interview with CBP. From there it’s just a polygraph and a fitness test.

To me the best part was Delroy Lindo.    He looked like Bass Reeves, who totally deserves a serious movie of his own. (Same with Robert Smalls!)
It was a movie that required me to be in the mood for it, luckily I was so I enjoyed it.   Music was definitely not my thing, but if it gets a younger crowd thinking that dressing up like a cowboy and target shooting might be a good idea, more the better.

The way you know its not a Tarantino film is that everyone doesn’t die.

Oh, and I definitely would have thought it was a Tarantino flick too.

I enjoyed it mostly. Good characters, good story, good acting. Not thrilled with the music though. Laghed mao at the white town. But one thing I didn't go in expecting, was tons of historical accuracy. Doing that will just drive a person nuts.

Kinda like watching The Dark Tower, where the hero has a modified open top that takes cartridges... from a speed loader. Just maddening.

A day of Infamy, a day of remembrance, a day to honor the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation.
The Museum will host an honored observance.
