Posting Smiley Faces

I have not been able to post the smiley faces to my postings which as we know is an important part of posting I have Windows Vista.  Any help would be appreciated.

Five Bullets, you are totally useless!
I've been waiting for someone else to come up with this question, and the answer to it,(so I didn't show how useless I am) and then you turn round and say you can make it work---but you don't now how!!!
What possible use is that to a senior citizen with a short attention span!
Seriously though, all I get when I click on the smileys is the brackets with the name of the smiley in it, HELP!!!

I noticed from your profile that you live in Mansfield,England.  I found that interesting because for twenty years I lived just out outside of Mansfield Texas, USA.

Guys I wish that I could help you but I don't even have access to a Vista machine that I can test with.  :-(

Howdy Folks 


           I have Vista, and have no problem, getting the Smiley Face, is done the same way as it was with Windows XP, you just click on the Smiley Face you want at the time and where you want it, lets say I'm writting a line and now I want a Smiley Face, I just click on the Smiley Face I want now  , you can put as many faces as you wish just keep clicking on the ones you want, and they will jump abroad. Hope this helped, you won't see actual Smiley Face until you check your preview..

If only the worlds other problems could be solved so easily.

Also check yer personal settings an be sure you don't have "disable smilies" checked.  This is only usefull if ya actually want ta have three queston marks in a row instead of or some other combanation of script that becomes a smiley by default. 
     If you are more comfortable with a keyboard than point and click, you can just type in the punctuation combos and get the smiley of your choice.  It will show up in the actual post as the fancy little cowboy guys we all know an love

Yeah, the preview don't show much, not just on this board but several others.  The same will happen if you post a picture link through photobucket or one a them others.  Ya don't know what'll happen til ya post it.  I just check it real quick an hit modify if it came out wrong.
