Gentlemen!  We didn't have much of a turnout for the May match.  Results were as follows:

Rifle
1. Dale Beethe - 84
2. Michael Fellow - 82

Let's get out there and shoot!  It's a good way to make sure you're zeroed for the Muster!

Gentlemen, Because of the Brigade Muster, I'm going to give everyone an extra week to shoot the Postal Match.  The cut-off date for June will actually be July 10th, and then we'll get back on the regular schedule.

Gentlemen,  Tomorrow is the last day to get your shooting done for June.  I've only got three so far.

Glad I shot yesterday.  It's sort of warmish out there today!

But at least there wasn't any wind.

I shot a sub-MoA 10 shot group with my replica 1903/1941 USMC vintage sniper rifle. By the time I quit I was pretty close to being a heat casualty even though I was drinking between every shot.

Sounds like a fun time... outside of the heat!  Who doesn't love amazing accuracy!!  How does one find a vintage sniper rifle?

Originals are available....albeit at a cost! You'll sometimes see them on GunBroker

I had 2 of mine built from parts I found on E-bay and GunBroker. Neither are such close copies that you wouldn't be able to tell them from originals, but that wasn't what they were built for.

The other one I found at an auction. It's just a copy too. The old guy who had it before me had done some work on it and I had to correct some of what he'd done before it would fire. I also had to change scopes for it to be legal in Vintage Sniper competition. It doesn't shoot as well as the ones I had built, but it still shoots about as well as what I read that the originals would.
