I like it! And... Iowa's a lot closer than the desert where he normally shoots. But what we really need is an "Ozarks Brutality" match.

I happened to RO this event. It was pretty funny to hear the kids (20-30yo) say you couldn't get a hit at 400 yds. with iron sights. The targets weren't to challenging, but the cardio was. I believe this event will be held again next year, if it is I'm going to try the iron sight match. I'll post any information as it becomes available.

I want to get up there as well, if only to try to talk Karl into taking a look at us.  I think trying the "Manual" class (Bolt action) might be fun.  Though it might kill me . . .

I know a young man who attended, met him at three gun matches in Quimby IA.  He is really a good, fast shooter with 4 gun stages in 18 some seconds (limited movement). He said he had a couple F Ups that cost him time, but finished in the upper 30%. After watching the videos it does not appear to me to be an Old Man's game, maybe a senior class with a little less "cardio"? The dreaded pistol swinger target would be more than challenging with a revolver or 7 shot 1911!   I thought it was pretty cool that it was at the Searsboro Range and wondered if Al or Ken would be involved.

It looks like fun.     might want to have a bit bigger stack of bales if I want to crawl through, maybe use those big round ones, since I am a little round.    ;D      It also looks to be way more modern of a set of firearms than I have.    I only have firearms that I know are safe for the possible y19K bug.   All mine are y18K.
