Think that was the day she kilt a target. She had a grin a mile wide.

On December 17, 2004, she suddenly noticed that I had taken to refering to her as:  MIZ LEE!

Just a bit of trivia for the lovers of a fine lady that I sadly never got to meet...

Until a week or so ago, I hadn't been on this board in years, and I noticed this thread and read it through.
It brings back a lot of fond memories, as I used to shoot with AnnieLee back in Pungo. Many here will know of what I speak. AnnieLee always greeted me with a hug, since we first became friends, and she was the first person in my life to do anything like that, short of my wife. My wife (Beth of Lincoln County) and I always looked forward to seeing her each month, and whenever we could talk her into it, she would come to our place for dinner or we would all go somewhere for dinner after the shoot. We even managed to get up to her place for a weekend one time, the summer before she got sick.
My mother died the November before AnnieLee found out she was sick, the first weekend of November. AnnieLee called after the match in Pungo (held the first weekend each month) to see what was up, as we had missed the match. We were at the funeral home, working out "the details". AnnieLee insisted to come right over, no matter what, and she stayed with us 'till well into the night, even though she had a long drive home yet, after a long day. She had met my parents on a couple of occaisions before.
I remember at Roundup, with four or five of us sitting around a table at the hotel out by the pool after the banquet, BSing and having a good time for half the night. She was just so much fun to be around.
I haven't shot much CAS since then, as my parents were our babysitters for us to shoot. Now I work most of the time and don't get to shoot hardly at all.

The world is a lesser place without her, but her new home is a brighter place for her being there.

We miss having you shoot with us LCR, you are right that Annie was a remarkable Lady and we realize that she is preparing one heck of a match for us when we see her again.  Hope to see you at some of the matches in the future.  I will be stopping by the shop next time I get out to Wakefield.

Recently, I went back and looked at a number of pages from "Kumbuya part Deaux". Lotta laffin and good feelings...

I have only given one other lady the title that I bestowed on "Miz. Lee".  there are not many that deserve it. And Miz. Lee will always be the FIRST.....

Got an email from AnnieLee's sister just before 2am today.  AnnieLee's mom passed away yesterday after being diagnosed wth lung cancer in June. :'(  She was 80.  Now they are together in heaven. :)

AnnieLee's son Charlie is attending Mount St. Mary's college.  He wants to be an art teacher.  He still wants to shoot again so hopefully we will be see him sometime soon at a SASS shoot.

I actually saw Mz. Annie's son in October at the Mason Dixon Stampede.   :)

He has grown way up and is a very nice looking young man.

He came to the match on Saturday and then again on Sunday just to see some of the pards that he and his mom used to shoot with.  He is willing and ready to get back into shooting, but as being in college, he can't have his guns there.  He promised that when the shooting season starts back up we would be seeing more of him, especially at the Thurmont Maryland shoots.

He gave me his email address, but at present, I can't seem to find it.

I had been meaning to post this info, but just hadn't got around to it until today.  Sorry for the delay.
