yahoody, wasn't it a 1876 very similar in design to the one you have done that Paul Newman used in the movie Hombre?

Newman used a short mag tube, round barrel, 44-40, '73 in Hombre, not a '76.  Same design though.  Same rifle (the actual same rifle that was in Hombre) was also used in "Tombstone" with Kurt Russel and Val Kilmer.   Gun was or may be still is owned by Peter Sherayko who played Texas Jack in Tombstone.
