There is a mob of us coming over from downunder to attend EOT 2006, some for the first time the rest have been several times.And I am one of the first timers. Sydney Duck and I are arriving in L/A on the 05/06/06 and on to Salt Lake City picking up a car and travelling out to Cody, we are going to have cowdoy holiday and sightseeing. We will catch up with the rest of them at Durango before the shoot at Cortez and then down to Albuquerque for EOT.
Got my bags packed and at the door waiting for a lilt to the airport.

Hope to catch up with many of you from the US at the shoot.

I DONT THINK I WILL BE AROUND IN 200 YEARS.

Some of my club members and I have started planning to attend next year. If you can bring your agenda forward we will see you there in 2006.

I can relate to the fun part.

I plan on making it over to OZ next year for the long range Quigley shoot.

At the moment there is a group of 5 of us planning on attending the shoot. Myself, Snake (Steve Carter), One Eye (Steve Smith), Gentleman Jack (Harry Torkington) and Yippee (Simon Walker). All members of the same pistol club, Papakura Sporting Pistol Club, and all avid CAS shooters. The same group are those who are thinking seriously about attending EOT in the US.

When the details are finalized at your end could it be possible to send entry forms and such to myself. We need as much as we can get as early as possible as we are applying for grants from the charitable trusts here in NZ to help us pay for the trip. I never realised how much planning is involved in arranging to attend an overseas event. We are at the stage now of sorting out police and customs documentation for the import/export of rifles. We havent even thought much about accomodation, transport, provisions etc yet, but we will get to it during the next 2 months.

I've personally gotten that interested that I have rebuilt an old roling block action back into a shooter. All I am waiting on now is the woodwork to arrive from US. Never shot BP at any real distance yet. Hoping to get a lot of learning in over the next 3 months just so I can at least attempt to hit the targets.

I am assuming it has been your friend Chris that I spoke to via TFS about the shoot origonally. He sent me pics, description and entry forms for last years shoot but unfortunately we need the forms for this years event to present to the people with the monies.

It is a real supprise to me how close a community this CAS game really is. I suppose that is one reason why I really enjoy it so much.

We went to EOT last year so we won't be going this year. There will be a bunch of folks there from NC though. I'm sure that you'll run into them.

Chris is the same bloke you have spoken to about The Billy Dixon shoot,we live about 1km from one another and are both on the committee of CASS. We will send all paperwork to you early in the new year,get over christmas first and we will get together and set out the format and let you know soon after.

There is real enthusiasm over here. None of us have shot these rifles over about 300 yards much so it is going to be a real challenge. One that we have been talking about a lot amongst ourselves.

I think we would be happy if just one of us gets 1 hit on the target. We are that unsure of ourselves.

Have our tickets and paid money for EOT and our trip plans ready to go.

Will fly in through L/A to SLC drive from there to Cody,Casper,Denver,Durango into Cortez for there shoot then into Albuquerque for EOT and home via Tombstone,Yuma, San Diego back into L/A.

Call in and say hi to Nasty Nick from Walker 47 and home.

Oh no....you're not going to anywhere close to us but I think that we need to start getting ready anyway. I know that the effect will be felt across the continent.

Definitely looks like we will be following in a pincer movement.

8 Kiwis arriving about the 16th June in LA

Plans are proceeding nicely.

Dont know where we will be at the event best to look for the beer tent. Our natural habitat. We wont be far from that.
