Running out of brass . . .
« on: April 13, 2020, 06:32:12 PM »
Loaded .30 US.  Loaded .45 AR for Webleys.  Loaded all my .455 MK II brass.  Loaded all my .45-70 brass.  .50-70.  .45 S&W.  .44 Russian.  .44 Colt.  .38 Special.  .38 S&W.  11mm French revolver.

I'm staring at my box of 8mm Rast & Gasser.  We're getting desperate here . . .

Oh, and my wife gave me some left over Christmas candle stubs, so now my dip lubed 11mm French rounds have pretty green bullets . . .

Here in Exciting Oklahoma, our ranges are open, but we can't have meetings or matches, so when it gets warm again, I can go shoot.  Of course work is getting in the way.  I do wish I had a lazy boy recliner to work from.

Oh, CCI did make up Xmas themed CCI Standard Velocity .22LR packages a few years ago.  Yes, I did buy them for the kids.

Along with my new 30-40 krag brass and bullets{For me},   I have a couple of sorted 5 gal buckets of brass to reload for my gunsmith.  45acp, 9mm, 4o S&W, those I have dies, bullets, and Unique and Red dot powders.
So,  I can keep busy as long as I get the computer off the loading bench.  ALSO  about 1000+ primed 38 spec.  500 for LHBWC for his model 52 S&W.
As long as Berry's can get me bullets,  I should last until I can start shooting again, Apartment life sucks.

Went to Brownells last Friday, they keep track of how many are in the store. No small or large standard primers, nor any powder I wanted.

Been doing some loading myself, mostly .30 Army and some .50-70.  Went out today and shot a little, as I had to figure out the front sight height for my '95 Winchester.  Shot a few rounds through the '76 Winchester, too.  All good!

You need to start working on 9mm so you can be a few thousand rounds ahead when you get the gatling gun.

Drydock--

Sounds like you need to load paper cartridges.  That way you'll never run out of brass.  Or better yet, try building cartridges for a Dreyse or Chassepot.
