I have nothing but good things to say.  Bought a Cimarron 1878 colt shotgun.  But iI did not buy from them, saved $25 and got it from cheaper than dirt.  After a box of shells right hammer spring broke. I sheepishly called Cimarron and they sent me a new one.   I call that good service.

Thanks for the info Coffenmaker!

I will give Pioneer gunworks a call and probably get an new short stroke kit with lifter. After observing the action it also appears that the lifter starts to later than it should. It starts moving after the bolt is done moving, and from what I'm seeing it should just miss the bolt

Frontier Iron / Re: Cimarron's new American model!

Smith and Wesson wrote UMC asking why Russian ammunition cost more than American ammunition. UMC replied that Russian ammunition used Berdan primers which they had to pay a royalty on and that they were loaded with pistol powder. That implies the American cartridges were loaded with something else. The 60 grs difference in bullet weight was not mentioned.

Tip from a fellow Carbine shooter; work the lever more briskly to and fro. Faster in one fluid motion without stopping. Down and back, down and back. Mine is a .44 S&W Russian version and she likes it rough. The faster the better.  Leave the butt on your shoulder, look down the sights and run that lever as fast as you can, then thumb the hammer back before tripping the hammer.  ;D

RATS / Ruger Old Model Super Blackhawk Ejector Screw

Gentlemen, Where do I find the Old Model Ejector Rod Housing Screw for the Super Blackhawk?  It's the quarter inch one for the revolvers with a barrel stud.  Been looking online and can't find any.

As I said I’ve read a couple bad things, but that doesn’t mean they’re true. Dissatisfied customers gripes travel much faster than satisfied customer compliments! But it seems no one on this forum has had any dealings with Cimarron customer service, so evidently they must have quality products.
