Went to a match today, last match of the year for this club, I was happy with my shooting, clean match and decent times on the stages. Weather was just about perfect. How was all Y'alls weekend?

How was my weekend?  Well, we finished picking up irrigation pipe at my wife's family's farm, celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday, had supper with a missionary to Ukraine for the last 28 or so years and his Ukrainian wife, took a bunch of refreshments to church that my wife baked, and went to a visitation.  That was my 48 hours plus a few.  Welcome October!  Hopefully the weather cools off again soon.

Church today, still running in the upper 90s here, supposed to cool off mid-week, that will be welcome! Our hummingbird feeder outside the kitchen window has been very popular lately, we have counted about 10 different birds out there regularly. Had a nice little Bond Arms derringer come into the shop the other day, so I put it on layaway. A bit curious what shooting 45 Colt out of the little beast will be like.

It will be uncomfortable is my guess . . .
I had one in .38spcl and it was uncomfortable firing for me. :(

BUT, mine wasn't a Bond.

Deacon KC, I have a Bond with .357 Mag and .45 Colt/.410 3inch shotshell, they aren't that bad with standard loads. The .357 is snappy, but the other is a pussy cat, Big fireball with the .410 due to the short barrel.

No disasters here, haven't left since I got supplies on Friday, Appointments every day the week, 2 for me, 3 for her.

Bought some big bugs Friday, got a good deal.   More for supper tonight, she couldn't sleep and peeled them, have 20 left and she wants scampi.  12-14's.

Seafood is scarce here, don't even have a Red Lobster anymore, the only seafood restaurant is Long John's, a few others have it as an afterthought.

I guess it's the cheese that gives it the color tint, looks good.

We got the Canadian smoke haze blanketing us, big changes coming for the weekend with temps in the low 60's

Two cups of stout Colombian coffee and I'm feeling a buzz  :D dang good, tasty stuff too.
Seems the haze from Canada has lifted, and rain is predicted this afternoon.

Busy round here the last couple of days, but enjoying the break in the temps today. Gonna be in the 70s and 80s the next few days, that will feel awfully good. Picked up the 45 derringer today and also grabbed some 250 grain JHPs for it, that might be an interesting combination.
