USFA Birdhead 45 Colt
« on: February 05, 2024, 01:29:48 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm looking for information about my USFA Birdhead 45 Colt. Excuse me, but I'm a neophtype on the subject.

1) According to my research and the serial number, it would be a model with an Uberti part. I saw the same one on GB at 1950 USD, is it possible that mine has the same value since I paid 600 Swiss francs for it ? (690 USD)

2) Some people talk about the "Turnbull" finish, what is it and how do I know if mine has this finish?

Thank you for your feedback.

I can't help on value or Uberti vs USA parts, but the Turnbull finish is traditional bone meal case hardening and to my eye your frame does have that finish.

Thank you for your expertise, I'm relatively new to the "SAA" world!
