Here is my Cimarron 1881 Deluxe with 30 inch barrels.  I included a close-up of the fancy laser checkering/carving on the pistol grip.  It has the same style on the fore arm.

I've put a couple in the freezer for meat but haven't gotten a Buck that meets the criteria to show. I've seen a couple nice 8 pointers that deserved a hard look but they just need another year to grow.

Congrats Rowdy!!! You know there's 4 more deer hides in that shirt you're wearing. I sure wish I could use a 44/40, but here in
Iowa we can't use centerfire rifles. I'll be out this Sat. for 1st season shotgun, supposed to be cold!! start out single digits
with highs in the teens,

No Turkey hunting today . The weather outside is pretty rough . The temp is 12 degree's and wind chill is 2 degree's and the roads are real bad . I guess I could make a batch of Jerky in preparation of Muzzle Loading season .

BTB Did you like my shirt . I sure wish I had another one . ;D

BSB Hows the Hunting going  . Having any luck .

Attention All Kentucky Hunters . It's time to start a Campaign to  add  Black Powder Cartridge guns to our Muzzle Loading season . That way we could use either weapon . Muzzle Loading OR Black Powder Cartridge Fire Arms Season .

Congratulations Rowdy! Nice buck, and a doe to boot. Should keep the freezer working for awhile.
I had to do a double take on the doe pic - picture looks remarkably similar to a little buck I got in 2011. I guess we both take similar camera shots!

The entire deer was devoured some time ago (chuckle) that was from 2011 season. Your pic of the doe just clicked in my head of a similar picture I had from a previous season Rowdy. IIRC that barrel was capped at 23.5" before rounding the front half and redoing it to SG butt style, and yes, 45/75. Did not get to use it this year - heck I only saw 3 deer all season, and only one shoot-able one (which I did get)  :) You had a much better season my friend - well done!

This weekend is the last for Muzzle Loading . The weatherman said lots of RAIN for this weekend, and he got that right .So I stayed home and slept in . I have had a good hunting season this year . I plan on doing a little predator hunting this winter . Heck before you turn around it will be Spring Turkey season . MERRY CHRISTMAS
