Wow, 103F here today and tomorrow is supposed to be as bad. Thankfully Wednesday is supposed to see rain and lower temps. Put a pretty little 10/22 on layaway today, SN is 12xxx. Yup, it's a second year gun and in really nice shape.

Good morning all, coffee's on and may God bless. 77 here right now, heading to only 90! After the long spell of pushing mid90s to 100s, it will feel like a break! Doctor's appointment in a bit, nothing serious, just a check up.

Gonna unload and prep my Carnival for my Denton trip next week, the game convention is much easier using my "red wagon" a collapsible cart to haul my stuff around.

You all have a good day

Good evening folks, hope you all had a good day. Only hit 91 here today with a nice breeze, so it was very pleasant. Worked today as my Boss got called in to be an Expert Witness in a murder trial. Got my feet up and relaxing, watching the news.
Hope you all have a good night.

As a deputy county attorney, I'd be curious to hear about your boss's testimony.  I never thought of calling someone from a gun shop as an expert at a murder trial (to be fair, I've never actually done a murder trial either).  One of our deputy sheriffs is also a licensed dealer and gunsmith; he would probably be a good witness if I ever needed an expert on how firearms work or something like that.  Of course, generally whatever law enforcement officers are assigned to a case have been able to cover that stuff as needed.  But it's something to keep in mind.

8 years is unheard of for a battery anymore, We're lucky to get 5-6 years here.

He was at the hearing on Wednesday and then waited at the actual trial date on Friday. He was never called on Friday, as his testimony on Wednesday was not disputed by either side. He was called because of his knowledge of Ruger firearms in particular [he is a collector and widely known]. It all boiled down to the differences in Ruger Mark 1 Pistol magazine capacity for his testimony. The guy was convicted of Second Degree Murder  and several other charges.
Curiously enough I was called as an Expert Witness twice by a Judge in Illinois while waiting to take parolees back to prison on warrants. Neither time was my parolee the case that was being heard!
Anyway, the temps FINALLY broke here, today was only 81 with rain and the next week is supposed to be cool as well. Hope y'all have a good night.

Matt, aka Gopher Grease and I went out to the farm today and built the poles and stuff for his new portable house.  We will take it down this weekend, letting the canvas relax.

10X12, Panther Primitives. We can put it up with just the two of us, I was worried, but I did it.

Riley approved of it.  We might sneak out before Sat and try it out, Got in the lower 50's last night. Good outdoor sleeping weather got free cool air coming in the house. ;D

Slim make sure you get Aurelio's Pizza and Portillo's Italian Beef or Sausage when there!
Good morning folks, raising my coffee cup to you all. Worked yesterday after preloading my van/suv thing. The Missus had a steak ready for me, but it was pouring rain so it went on the broiler instead of the grill. In a bit I have to unload the preloaded stuff as I am searching for an AWOL ballcap that is needed to help identify me at the game convention I am going to this weekend. We are playing Forumite Bingo and folks try to find and identify folks from the cards. I know I put the hat in the car last week, so it HAS to be in there somewhere.
66 here right now, only supposed to hit 74 with rain today. Y'all take care.
