Buckles
« on: September 12, 2020, 08:00:29 AM »
Where do you guys get your buckles from for your gun belts you make?

I really like Will Gorhmley's buckles but will not want to spend 160 for each rig. I am looking for a place to get old western style buckles for gunbelts.

Thanks.

If you want good buckles that aren't decorative but are solid and well made, try The Buckle Guy. He has some 1-1/2" clip corner buckles at the end of page 4 and top of page 5. It helps to go through all the pages for other designs.

Hi

For gun belt type buckles, I use Springfield Leather and Tandy (a little).  Springfield's are all good, but beware that the less Expensive Cody buckle is less expensive because it's a stamping and therefore hollow.  The other clipped buckles are also hollow, but are made of much thicker material.  .

Thanks for the info guys. I found out today that New Orleans has a Tandy so I made the drive down there and check out all kinds of things. Picked up a few more stamps, dye, new edger and a few other things. Also found a buckle that may work for the gun belt I’m going to try.
