Off-the-wall Ruger six-shooters?
« on: December 21, 2011, 08:01:18 AM »
 ;)
I was just parleying with a Pard about an oddball 12" .22 Single Six that one of my brothers used to have.
And I got to wondering what other strange non-stock configurations that you've seen Ruger revolvers in.
If you seen some wierd ones, let us know.

What do you mean by non-stock?  I have a "buntlline" Single Six in .32 mag.  It is unusual, but it came from the factory that way.  Are you talking after market conversions?

What I meant was anything factory-installed that makes your Ruger special.
The 12" Singin' Six was evidently a factory-assembled one too.
It had the Ruger rollmark on the barrel.  He had a NR9 convertible that had the same markings.

I never saw anything in any Ruger history books that mention it.  I asked Ruger (Southport, I reccollect) about it.  They said it was definately NOT built by the factory.

Heck, go ahead and let us know of anything you've done to your Rugers to make them special too.
