I recently purchased an OM Bisley Vaquero in .45 Colt. The gun appears to be an earlier version (58-31xxx). After I got the gun home, I noticed by looking at the flutes on the outside of the cylinder, it appeared the cylinder was not lined up with the barrel when the gun was in full cock position. Upon closer inspection, the actual holes in the cylinder are lining up properly with the barrel, but the flutes on the cylinder are off in relation to the holes in the cylinder. I realize the flutes should be between the cylinders, but on the cylinder I have, the flutes are not exactly between the cylinders. When I look down on the gun from above, the flutes being off make it look like the cylinder is rotated and not properly lined up with the barrel.
I have a couple of Blackhawks and a couple of Ubertis and the flutes on the cylinder line up exactly in between the holes in the cylinder, as they should.
Has anyone else seen this problem with Ruger revolver cylinders?
