I'm gonna be good, that discussion in the powder room with the guy with the "tuned" 73 that ain't firing all the time should realize that who ever "tuned" his gun actually broke it.
Got the light springs and a one pound trigger on my Single Six in 32 mag and it will fire small rifle primers, has done a few thousand and they all went bang.
Oh to make up for it I use small pistol primers in the Hornet, both are reloading tips we kinda stay a bit on the quiet side with because it's best because there are more places to not do either than there is.
Any rifle cartridge that goes much over 40,000 psi, it's a no no, also the small rifle primers
in double action revolvers I'm told can be unreliable DA, tuned or not.
Actually that was common in 38 Super in the 80's for 1911 types making major. You can get to a point the regular pistol won't light slow burning powders evenly and velocity goes up and down as well as accuracy and mag pistol takes the pressure a bit to high.
Slim uses the same load in his 32's. A 122 CNBC at 1250 fps ain't really a mouse gun, it's a Mighty Mouse gun.
Hornet the rifle primer is too much and you get erratic velocity also.
