ON THIS DATE IN 1776: Thomas Jefferson purchased a thermometer from a local merchant before signing the Declaration of Independence. According to his weather memorandum book, at 1 PM it was cloudy and 76 degrees.
Info provided by ABC 3340

76 degrees, coincidence? I think not ;D

If you chance visiting Monticello- you will find Jefferson was a gadget guy.

And you didn?t invite any of us? That is weird ;D

Coffee is up.... sweet tea about ready for those of you that would rather.

No rain yesterday. Just Alabama hot n humid- fires up grill about 4:30 on shady side of house. Use lump style charcoal. It lites and burns so much better.  Cooked chicken legs and a couple cheap rib steaks. Good thing . I just get them in the house and youngest step-son decided to come visit and ate with us. He lives near by and said he could smell them cooking at home.  We ate so much we never got the cobbler set out on the fire. May have to do that tonight.

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee.

Not me.

T'storms last night.

'Tis 68 and overcast. "Humid. Partly sunny. Patchy fog in the morning. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the middle 80s. Light and variable wind. Chance of rain 30 percent."

Evening all.

Toy store trip seems to have been successful. The owner of the P32 changed their mind on price, wanted more than the gun was worth ($230), so I bought one brand new for $245. I pick it up Tuesday or Wednesday.

I finally get my weekend off from work, after 8 consecutive 8-9 hour shifts. Now I'm off until 3:30 Monday.

Last two days have been busy but fun. Lots of nieces and nephews and the great-kids getting spoiled by the Missus and Uncle Kevin. Just having a cup of decaf [gotta be able to sleep tonight!].

Does anyone know how to perform an exorcism? Something has possessed the Deacon.  ::)

If we can find one I have a purr'fect receptacle for the demon.  Both cats have taken the safe way out and are just sleepin' the days away.  Need something to get them in the mode of "we can party".  Shouldn't surprise me though, they are just being themselves.  They aren't old enough to go to the casinos, and they don't take too kindly to car rides to get there anyway.

Kid, Now you have to find some Winchester Silver tips .32 ammo for it. That's the only decent self defence ammo made for the .32 autos.

Coffee and sweet tea are ready...

It is already hot n humid. Not going to do much today.
Going to finish my cup. Then go open the chicken house up.  Let them get out side.
The Guineas ( Tick eaters) are all ready squawking to get out.
Then I will water the sponge tree  :o

TK Have fun with the Kel Tex...

Guessers say 87 today and rain ?.  :-\   odds against 87 but rain is an even money bet.

I'll head to the LGS/FFL, the other day I scored a 1945 Ithaca 1911 as issued, carried and brought back by a veteran pilot.
Today the widow said she will bring me his DD214 to copy.

There was his  M3 shoulder Holster marked  Enger-Kress 1944  I'm tickled to own it.
