Graci John - most appropo

I suppose I ought to donn my personna and offer some “graveside humor” regarding calling
Mein Vater up via myprof marvel xtal ball and chewing him out for not sending the bank Mom’s death cert!
Lol.

But he had literally everything else covered nicely, so if thats all I have to complain about this
Time around is pretty darn easy. And thanks to the interwebs, and free long distance plans , it is easy to get
Professional interstate advice, then the forms, then hurry Up and wait lol.

My lovely spousal unit, SWMBO, had a grand dream last night that Dad wasn’t taking any of my long distance
Xtal ball calls Just now because Him and Mom are making up for lost time apart!

In other news, the epic blizard of March 2024 continues to dump precipitation on the Great Southwest,
From southern Az, thru NM, southern Co, Tejas, the Sooner State (oklahoma for the less educated) and points east.

East Mountans and the plains east of ABQ got another 8-12 in last night and it started up again an Hour ago!

Yhs

Add my condolences, Professor.
While reading your post I was listening to Sinatra singing "My Way", and thought it appropriate sentiment to accompany your tribute about a life well lived.

So sorry my friend.

Rita wanted corned beef today and I had one in stock.  No cabbage, but not going to go get it because I am the only one who'd eat it.

Couple projects to finish upn and then swapping computers.  Rita's downstairs is newer than mine and will do 3 screens, don't need the CD drive on mine no more so grandson is getting mine.  Actually wants a desk top.

Professor, Condolences to you and your family. It sounds like he was a man that lived life on his own terms.

Please except my humble and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your Dad.
I wish you, Mrs. Marvel, your sister and family peace.
When we spoke, you told me of your Dads service at the very close of WW 2,
He a member of the greatest Generation.
God Blessed him with long life and he led it well, good and faithful servant, may he Rest in Peace.

Greetings My Friends

My Dad passed away in the early morning of Mar 15 at 97 years of age.

He fell in middle Feb, spent a week in hospital, almost 2 weeks
in rehab hospital then at our suggestion and his full agreement,
went back to his room for hospice care at his retirement center
( aka TLLCS - "The Landlocked Cruise Ship"). He died comfortabley in his
sleep.

He lived on his own terms and died on his own terms, with no regrets.

Fortunately, under the auspices of the hospice nurses, he was given as much
morphine as he needed for comfort.

He literally told my sister and I NOT to come out to be with him. He knew he
would be addled , in pain, and in a state he did not want to seen in.

Oh look, he made me end my sentence in a preposition!

He is the last "elder" in both my and SWMBO families. My Mom crossed
over ~ 2015, Mrs. Marvels' parents in 2010 & 2012, and her aunts and uncles
between 2005 and 2015.

Fortunately, my Dad saw it coming a couple years ago and diistributed his
“Stuff” that we might care about between my sister and myself on his last roadtrip.

I am now swamped with "all too familiar" paperwork, sorting, trustee
crap & etc. Fortunately my corporate training & experience in patents paperwork,
strict and tort liability paperwork, and various burocratic Govt paperwork nightmares
is serving me well in this regards.

As Always,
Your Humble Servant but somewhat poorly
Prof Marbles
