Lest we forget.

It seems that 24 years is enough to put this horrific atrocity behind us.  I'm seeing little said except on the Discovery Channels.  I have my flag at my version of half mast in remembrance of those lost today in the buildings and aircraft 24 years ago.

And dredging it up accomplishes what exactly??  None of the perpetrators still live.  It's akin to banging your head against a wall.  At this point in time there is no one left to blame.  it is time to "Move On."

I guess you don't acknowlege December 7, June 6, Veterans Day, and a host of other days that allow time of reverence for all who sacrificed everything for all.

I guess I'll beat my head for all of them.

Not at all.  I spent almost 30 years of my life active duty military, going bad places and doing hard things so others have the freedoms they enjoy.  There comes a time we need to move on.  As a veteran, I have come to resent Veterans Day becoming a retail marketing ploy for "Big" sales.  I also resent folks wishing "Happy Memorial Day" as there is nothing "happy" about it.  Remembrance should be a personal thing, not necessarily a "Bang the Drum" thing.  I don't forget, I've done things I can't forget, that will haunt me forever.  I just don't shove it in others faces.

21 years on active duty here, and I agree with you completely.
