Status of GAF awards?
« on: August 07, 2011, 07:26:33 PM »
Just wondering, what is the status of the GAF awards. Under construction for quite awhile.
Who is the current awards officer? I have a category win at state SASS in uniform. Category win in Division of Iowa. Also won annual SASS club match in uniform.
Could have had best dressed at range at annual match, (2 independent judges), but as Assistant Match Director, didn't feel right awarding myself, passed on to 2nd place.

Well, a catagory win gets you a medal with a blue ribbon, with a bronze star for each subsequent award.  This has not changed.  Medals can be obtained from Prairie FLower, with the stars available at any number of military award sites, my favorite being  Vanguard.

And yes, the General is aware and is working on the awards policy.
