Yes, she did fire it last evening, a total of 10 rds at 20m with the group of us watching.
I put up a 16"x16" steel target and told her to hold centre. The rd hit centre right at 6 o'clock. I upped the ladder sight and the next rd could not have hit more dead centre had you bisected the target! She fired the remaining rds into a group she could have covered with her fist and she has a small hand.
Load was 6 grs Red Dot under a 200 gr LRNFP. That's a bit warm for her liking in her 44-40 Pietta SAAs, but quite acceptable in the '73. It's the load I've used for years in my 44-40 rifles.
I don't know about her, but I was impressed. I'm still trying to convince her that it's too much gun for her and she just laughs and says - "Buy your own."
I think I will. I really like that rifle.
