Seems like a fine rifle! I am also curious, what type of anti-cant device for scope are you using? I see that you are an experienced shooter and you understand what products are good. I've recently bought my first ever rifle, and I'm looking for advice. I researched a little and found this website, ballachy.com, that lists a few of the best anti-cant devices, as well as their accuracy, cant level, long rage, construction, and much more, which are things I want to consider. You are the expert here, so can you please tell me if they are any good? Thanks in advance!

After searching more online I think I would be better off if I could find more information on attempts to recreate the Frankford Arsenal .44 Martin cartridges like this fellow

Your results are expectable, try off hand and you’ll get another impact. Nature of shooting in general.

Offhand I seem to get multiple other impacts these days  ;D

TL, those are just plain purty!

Well, that looks pretty inobtrusive!  I am unlikely to purchase one myself as I am still a flip-fone kind of guy.  :D

Quite common.  Back in my high power days one would sometimes shoot the entire match at 100 yards at targets with same size black but different scoring rings quite common to have different zero for offhand sitting or prone.

BRS, don't believe your measurements. If you drive the wedge in enough, you will lock it up.
If your measurements were correct, it would still give you the same problems probably. Mainly because that gap measurement is so close and the cylinder won't clean itself .  .  .  because it's a "gap" ( doesn't close).

Fix the short arbor first, then you can seat the wedge tight and get true measurements (and then decide if you'd rather have a bigger gap or a close "self cleaning" clearance.
