Tall Tales / Copilot & AI
Last post by Johnny McCrae - July 05, 2025, 10:20:30 AM
I've been using a personal computer since 1980, mostly for business purposes. In my retirement, I build websites, provide graphic design services for local organizations on a voluntary basis, and write stories. Recently, I bought a new computer with Windows 11. A few days ago, I started exploring Copilot. Copilot is the free AI add-on that comes with Windows 11. Among other things, I asked Copilot to critique an ad I want to place. I was amazed at the result. Truth be told, I thought I did a decent job of writing, etc. I guess not!

Morning all.

Sunny and headed for 90, currently 55.

Busy day yesterday. Went to 2 fires, one of which was an historic property. The house was built in the late 1870s, and the majority of outbuildings in the following 10 years. We saved everything historic. Cause was meth lab explosion, fortunately in a Home Depot shed, which spread to the vegetation.

Praying you get power back soon.

Had a birthday brunch for my MIL, then spent the afternoon and evening with at a pot luck with friends.

Greetings all.

Got pounded with lightning the past few days. Got 18 fires out of it, only 2 went anywhere. One is 300 acres with roads all over. The other is 25 acres and a 2 mile hike 1200 feet up a steep hill to get to. Want to guess which I was on until 4am :-\
It was only 2 acres when we got there, and we almost had it caught, then we had a medical incident and had to abandon the fire (the patient is fine and will make a full recovery by the end of the week).

Y'all keep cool.
