Has to be "Hill Street Blues".   I watched this before I put the badge on.  I would have loved to have a watch sergeant like Phil Esterhaus.  Our narcs did have a Bleker.

Police Woman. They always found some excuse to get her into a bathing suit. What legs she had.

Is it too late to say "The Shield" on FX is a good one?  And of course, the old standby, COPS...

Andy Griffith is of course the winner in the Classic category!

Hill Street Blues.  Plus it had a cool theme song.  Couldn't complain about the public defender much either. ;D

I can't imagine the circumstances under which I would willingly sit down and watch anything on television other than a race or a football game..................

Hill Street Blues. Probably the first show that portrayed police officers as real human beings.
