Line of Duty Deaths
« on: January 19, 2012, 06:30:14 PM »
Per the Officer Down Memorial Page, there have been 8 officers killed in the line of duty so far this year and the year is only 19 days old.  For those of you who have retired, thank you for your service.  For those still on the job, please watch your backs.  Take the time for tactical thinking, be aware of your surroundings and ease up on the gas pedal.  Every time an officer dies, a piece of my heart goes too.

It has been a bad year in Southern California.  I am retired SO (thank GOD), but my cousin is San Diego PD.  She is in detective.  She has lost several friends/co-workers in the last few months.  Stay safe guys.  Remember the most import thing is going home to your families at end of watch.

Very sad to report that as of today it is now 18 law enforcement officers who had paid the ultimate price.
