Gentlemen, I got to look at a Burnside Contract 1865 Spencer Infantry Rifle today that is one of 1,109 of them converted from carbines by the Springfield Arsenal. SWEET!! The bore is shiny and bright, which makes sense since they were never issued. Since one of our members brought it home from a gun show today, there is a good chance it may show up at the National Muster in June. With any luck at all, it may be running by then.
By the way, does anyone here have a center fire breech block they don't need anymore? How about a bullet mold?
