Whole bunch of carrots was dangled in front of me... but I had a bit of tunnel vision and fell in into the trap again ....
A 1907 Savage came home with the price extremely right, planets aligned and bingo.

I disassemble it for visual and detail cleaning, I'm a little embarrassed I can't seem to get the striker assembly to rotate back ( I can get it in it just doesn't want to turn  ??? )

Am I doing something wrong ?   not really, just persistence

Up Date...  GOT IT  the trick is to lube it well for reassembly. These were machined at tight tolerances, no screws at all not even for the grips... oil it well on mating surfaces, and hold your tongue right and Bob's your uncle  ;D  comes under a heading "simple PITA"
NEAT gun though, and once you know how...

I used to have one of those and they are a royal pain to reassemble. My suggestion is to pull it completely apart, and check for any tiny pieces of grit or lint. It is built to extremely tight tolerances. Good luck on the little beast.

That helps, the YouTube video made it look like a snap to reassemble, I just keep on at it.

Thanks, on the Triple K heads-up

I might be one myself.  After my heart attack I decided to get rid of some to make it easier on the wife when the bucket is not repairable.

I inventoried and had 212.  I contacted an LGS for help getting rid of them.  He has sold 11 for me so far and I have gifted 10 to my daughter.  I am down to 211.

Since I am an accountant, I am having trouble with the math.

RRio, that is beautiful!
Well, I got the S&W today, it had Goodyears on it, but those got swapped out for some Altamonts when it got home.

Love those grips.

I think that I may have broken a commandment. You know, the one that says "thou shall not covet thy neighbor's gun..."   ???  :-\

:) I'm unaware of any such commandment.
I fact, I think coveting thy neighbor's gun might just be a major symptom, toward influence and additional accumulation into one own affliction  :-\

You do realize just how much a FUN a 20Ga Coach can be when fed the right fodder??  I mean we be talking some serious FUN here.  With light reloads and or Fiocchi "Trainer" ammo, a 20 can be some kind of SWEET!!  Really SWEET.

Light.  Fast handling.  Quick on Target.  REALLY FUN!!

Just trying to Help ya Know.  Just a little HELP!!

I bought a 20 Ga. Stoeger coach gun a couple of months ago because I had a big pot full of hulls left over from my skeet days. It is the deluxe model with choke tubes. Because of the weather and my lazyness it hasn't beenshot yet. I hope to remedy that this Saturday at our monthly club shot. As The Coffinmaker would say "Burma Shave".

 :) LUCKY!!  ;)

Well, congratulations on your 20Ga acquisition!!  Here I thought DeaconKC needed a little coaching to help with his affliction with 20Guageitis.  Hopefully I was able to help the Deacon.

 :)  Hey DEACON  ;)

YOU SNAG THAT 20GA??  DIDJA DIDJA HUH???

I may be in some form of abstemiousness:-\

I was drawn to my friendly FFL, to fondle a gun he had just taken on consignment.
A S&W .32 Hand Ejector Model Revolver, complete with 89 rounds of factory rounds.
But not the original boxes.

The gun was interesting, though the grips had been replaced with faux ivory (plastic) Magna's
(correct grips in last photo example)

and the gun had been buffed and touched blued.
A good shooter grade, I decided to pass.

Well, he said they were asking $450.
A fair offer would take it.
