I had talked to him on my way to work just a few days before. Told him I would be at their monthly match the coming weekend. I enjoyed is company and fellowship. It came to me as a shock.

A few years later, I am laying in ICU struggling to live, when I received news of Arcey passing away. Another great guy.
Fellas, I have been fighting to stay alive since. I cautiously check in here in fear of who I might read has gone on. Glad you all are upright and keeping the Devil off your backs.

Heat again today, we did get a brief TS yesterday but only lasted about 45 minutes.
Guessers say 98 today.

The first heat relief is next Thursday according to the weather guessers, till then they are forecasting high 90's.

Lately the Heat Index during the day has been around 110. It was 80 when I went this morning at 7:00 AM. I was dripping wet when I finished. Hopefully I'll get my car back today?

Got my car back. A/C works again. My wallet is $1300 lighter but there's a lot of worse things that can happen to an old guy like me.

Ouch! but it is better than the hit you take when to drive a new one off the lot and then several years of monthly payments.
Thermometer shows 98 degrees in the shade and that's after a brief shower.

Here, not over the bronchitis, went to Dr Friday and he put me on a med for coughing and prednisone. Both reduce the inflammation. Whipping it, just taking time.

Another extreme heat warning but it seems to be well north of this area today, 3 digits numbers are up Ocala way.
Still expecting mid 90's though today.
There is a big glob of rain in the Gulf off Tampa, unsure if any will cross Central Fla.
Maybe a TS that afternoon, we'll see....

Errands to run before it gets too hot....

Still here, haven't melted yet. Rain went around and never spit a drop.
Temps are coming down though, 93 as the high today, that 6 degrees cooler than Sunday.

Did the trice annual vampire check this morning at LabCorp, in and out is 10 minutes.
