SAA locked up
« on: June 10, 2020, 10:15:25 AM »
I took one of my SAA apart and cleaned it and put it back together, and cocked it a few times and it locked up. I have one screw I can't get out right now on the front trigger guard and cannot take it apart to fit it. Does anyone have an idea why it locked up?
Thanks
Reno

Locked up how?  Hammer down all the way but won't pull back at all?  That could be a broken bolt leg.

Abiline, that is about what happened. I thought it might be the bolt , hand, or maybe the bolt spring, and won't know till I get it apart. I gave up on the screw and took it to an old gunsmith I used to know and he said he would try to get it out for me.
Thanks for all responses.
