Not sure because I do not know what used ones go for. At least less then a new one. I am really interested in the grip frame of one. I want to swap it with an Army grip on a Richard's Type II .38

if Pietta made a Richard's Type II conversion I would think about that. I am trying to getclose as I can to a 61 Navy Colt RM conversion.

I'm not going to be "Divergent."  I don't know what you want to do with it.  However I the previous owner didn't fix the Short Arbor Syndrome, yule have a bunch of extra work to do. An easier to work on, better choice out of the box is Pietta.  Older Pietta have a rather flimsy Hand Spring, easily replaced with the newer version.  I'd also suggest Slix Shot nipples and an after-market Main Spring for either.  Best Wishes for your endeavor which ever way you choose.
If I can find one I plan to buy Uberti Richard's Type II in .38 and swap the grips ti have a close 61 Navy RM conversion. Will be cheaper then having a 71 Navy colt converted

agreed Coffinmaker, there is one offered at Track Of The Wolf, they interest me in that they were made in Hamden Ct arround the same time or before Colt started with 2Nd Gen guns and frames were US made with Uberti parts as usual..parts could be an issue though, i guess if price is right as with most things then it might be worth checking out..
have a good wkend

I've looked for a similar belt,
Like the one in Packing Iron so far to no avail.
I do have vintage canvas prairie though.

My Mother told me the hounds name was "Bill"

 :)  Well Heck Bob ;)

I'm at a complete loss.  I've never had opportunity to fondle one of those, let alone shoot one.  As far as I know, most went to "collectors" and were some rare to begin with.  I would suspect should you be looking for a sample example to shoot, lock works parts will be unobtbaneium.  Determining a value would be a crap shoot, best of circumstances.  Maybe 400 for a case'd, unfired collector example and a loose fired shooter probably half that (at best).  Good Luck

 :) Yepper Deacon!!)

That be a righteous Cartridge Belt!!  Most cool indeed.  However, my vote goes to "THE DOG."  ATZ probably a "Studio Rent-A-Dog" but I like dogs more'n I like most people these days. Woof Woof!!
