Howdy all, slept late today due to the painkillers. Not taking them again unless I absolutely have to. 84 here and light clouds, awfully pretty outside. No coffee today but did have some mashed potatoes for lunch.

Since moving to Florida in 2008, I've had four teeth pulled. They wanted me to get Implants or Bridges. At my age, I said "no way. The missing teeth are in the back where you can't see them.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

'Tis 58 and sunny. "Partly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent."

I've got a sweet Spencer carbine which seems to be a bit of an oddball; cutoff, but no saddle ring bar, odd looking stock fit that feels like a repair/replacement, low serial number of 4222 and etc. Probably just got handled around the West post-war until it came to my dad in the late 80s.

Anyway, I want to get it shooting again. But all the research I did on that five years ago seems to be out of date and all the vendors are out of stock on the CF blocks to drop in.I have reloading gear and am generally competent and totally fearless. While I wait for Wife to be worn down by me and the sons to allow a swivel gun mount in the back yard I thought we should get some BP experience in.

So, in today's challenging world: where do I start? How do I know if the barrel needs relined? Is this even the correct forum?

Quote from: DeaconKC on Yesterday at 07:42:31 PMHad a toothache all weekend and was able to get into the dentist today. Wound up having the tooth pulled [didn't want to mess with root canal] and it was good I didn't go for the root canal as the tooth fell apart while they were working on it! So I had some pudding for dinner so I could take some strong painkiller. Think I'm gonna doze now... :P

Been there just 2 weeks ago, I know your pain...
Mashed potatoes and/or mashed cauliflower & gravy, soup and Jello are your Huckleberry
I used Extra Strength Tylenol, and swish salty water.
Stitches dissolved in about 8 days.

Best of luck and feel better soon.

forgot to mention they did a bone graph as well to replace the root hole in the jawbone.
