Question on Springfield Cleaning Rod
« on: March 04, 2012, 08:28:05 AM »
Hello!
The cleaning rod for the 1868 Trapdoor and the 1870 Springfield Rolling Block are identical except for length.  I have a spare original for an 1868 I intend to cut off for my Rolling Block unless they're incredibly valuable.  Can anyone tell me if that's the case?  Thanks!

Not sure of the current value of M1868 cleaning rods (original) but the cost of a repro or a repro Rolling Block rod if $45.  SO in the overall scheme of life I don't think they have to great of a value.

Okay, I'll try here first.  Who wants an original 1868 Springfield cleaning rod?
