Which one of you broke CAS City this morning?  >:(

Well, I've had fun today. Been to the chiropractor twice today.  ::)

Evening all.

Looks like we’re starting off the last week of warmth nicely. High was 76, and hardly a cloud in the sky.

Had a rather productive day. Saddle soaped a bunch of the Mrs’ horse tack, refinished the grips on my Heritage 22 (I’ll try to figure out pictures later), took the dog for a walk, and now have a pork loin on the oven.

We encountered a small grizzly bear while out. It was a young bear, about 6 feet long, and maybe 250 pounds. He was enjoying the sunshine in a grassy clearing about 75 yards away, and we maintained that distance. Made my 357 feel a little less than adequate.

I think I figured out the photographic addendum.  Getting them to show up in order was too complicated, and I am not a computer whiz (or even classifiable as competent).

Morning all.

Supposed to get into the high 60s today, but currently is only 42.

Nothing ground breaking on the docket for today, just another coat of linseed oil on the grips and a walk with the dog.

Slim, be careful with that back.

No photography of Señor Yogi, as I left my phone in the truck. And I like my RR. A little tack driver with subsonic ammo. It shoots a little to the left with the magnums, but some Kentucky Windage fixes that. I’ve killed a chipmunk at about 30 steps with it (the rodent went to good use as a dog lunch before I could get to it. Still working on that retrieve  ::) ). I was thinking about trying an NRA 22 shoot with it this winter if I have the time.

Just got off the phone with the surgeons office discussing meds, what to take, not to take and all that.  Allergies and why to not put Vaseline on my lips in recovery, see that Fed law about hitting an EMT or medical don't count in recovery rooms. ::)

Evening all.

My first day back at turd burgling was successful, resulting in 200 gallons of burgled turds. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, but I at least got paid. I also got another dollar per hour added to my wage, who h is good.

They be saying us old folks may get a raise again next year, as much as 10%, bad new they likely are not going to raise the threshold as to when said folks have to pay income tax.  So some and I am sure we are in that group, and could be one that gets the shaft.

TK, you did a great job on refinishing your Heritage grips. That's a big improvement over the stock finish. In 2005 I bought my first Cowboy gun. It was an 1851 Navy Colt Percussion Revolver. Black powder was not allowed at our local indoor range, so I bought a Heritage .22 Revolver. It has served me well. Shortly thereafter, I discovered CAS City and got into Cowboy Action Shooting. Recently I had to retire from shooting CAS matches due to Arthritis in my shooting hand. I've been training myself to shoot left-handed with my .22 Revolver and my Henry .22 lever action rifle. At least I'm still able to go to our local range and shoot at some Cowboy style paper targets.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Johnny, our club allows folks with "challenges" to shoot 22s as needed. Ask em and run those 22s!
68 here right now, supposed to hit 76 and sunshine. The next 10 days are looking really nice. Gonna have "Old fashioned day" at Church Sunday, so I am ready, just gonna wear my CAS duds, minus the holsters [although I am part of Church Security, hmm...]

Hope the Chiropractor can straighten your back out this morning.

It's been nice weather in the mid 80's with lows in the mid to upper 60's.
50% rain today, 40% tonight.

I man the Museum portable exhibit at the Annual Corn Maze Fall Festival tomorrow.
Looking forward to one of the BBQ wild boar lunch's
