Pots and pans......

Indulge me Pards........
I gots a bunch of copper P&P's I have hanging , and don't use no more......
Somebody told me that the silver coating in the inside will leach into the food.........
The cooking surface is coated, sorta like galvinized........I used them for years.........
They're wall decorations........High speed expensive French wall decorations...........
That's fine.......
I recently bought TYQ and I a Caphalon non stick 12" skillit........
I love it am thinking of going totally Caphalon............

I need some input from someone using All Clad........Either the aluminum or the aluminum and copper..........

Perhaps the All-Clad copper interior, aluminum exterior is best............

Or maybe SS from Wally World............

All them Pot manufactures promise the world..............

I would love sone comeback on pots and pans...............

Del, I know ya favor cast iron........
My little sis uses my Mom's CA pots and pans everyday..........

I have 2 big stainless steel stock pots, all the rest is cast iron.  Your copper pots are tin lined and are safer to cook in than the modern non-stick stuff which is Teflon. 

They've been tellin' folks for years that if you own a fancy expensive bird, not to use Teflon coated cookware because it releases fumes if it gets to hot that will kill the bird.

Now years ago before fancy gas detectors they carried Canaries down in mines to detect gas.  When the bird dropped over, you got the heck out.

Do you see a pattern here, won't let modern "Non-Stick" into the house.

I liked cookin wif my old copper stuff......................
THey were pricey in their day, but, they did the job well..............................

In the house I lived in before this one, I had the luxury of having two kitchens,....
One for TYQ which I stayed out of...It was on the main liviing level, and it was her turf............

I had a basement kitchen which was mine..I miss it very much......
I would make the kids Pizzas down there.......
We did all the canning down there.......
It was a big kitchen.........I miss it so..............

All the kids and all their friends watching MTV...........
I did all the finger food for the little farts............
Jezus.........I know all the tunes from the 80's
The stuff was comming out of MTV

I miss making my own Bagettes..........
I'm a bread freak........Keep yer noodles...............

Having another kitchen is the only way a boy can keep the peace in a household..........

I'm lucky in that TYQ isn't put off If I cook up something equal to her best..............
She don't take it personal......
Ain't gonna be a gunfight over my Baguetets............
Ya gots to know your girl too.........
She know's I like to get cookin once in a while, and will let me have at it..........

I do a much better Gauwompke Pirogue, or other ethnic dishes then her..............

She's a German girl........I'm a Slovak Kid...............

I need my own kitchen in this home as well..............
I shoud have realized it years ago..............

I haven't made up a batch of Chardnina in ages...............
Ducks blood soup.....With Beets...............

I haven't made up any Kishka sausage in a long time.........

Primo stuff, even if it sounds wierd............

I miss having my own kitchen.............................................................

I mean basements and garages...........That's boys turf, Am I right?..........

I have stainless steel and cast iron. Most of my stainless is Revere Ware with copper bottoms. I try to stay away from teflon and aluminum.
