...I do have a question about the 1875s though. Are the firing pins supposed to be loose in the hammer? My Colts don't really move around but the firing pin on this one can be moved around.

I expect that movement is normal, though I don't own a Remington.  The FP's on my 1st Gen Colts do not move.  On my 2nd and 3rd Gen, plus Ubertis, plus Pietta, all move.

Finally picked up my first Remington 1875. This one is a Uberti imported by Stoeger.


It shoots great.
I do have a question about the 1875s though. Are the firing pins supposed to be loose in the hammer? My Colts don't really move around but the firing pin on this one can be moved around.

Just checked mine, all 4 firing pin's move about. As do on my 2nd and 3rd gen Colts and Uberti Colt.
