Morning all.

Currently 91, 18% humidity. Supposed to hit 100, and looks like it’s going to do it.

Spent the past two days on a lightning fire. It was steep country, but we caught it at 2/5 acre. We did get a helicopter for about an hour, but then it got dark. It was a good time.

Well my good netizens, it finally hit 100 deg F (for the first time) here in The Great Southwest.

but it's a "dry heat'

which means we get to enjoy the phenomenon known as " virga" aka "Rain that doesn't reach the ground"

sorta feel cheated....

Wow, hit 103 today, 118 heat index! Yikes, and it is supposed to stay at this for a couple more days. Fought with a Colt New Service at the gun shop today, not as familiar with Colt DA revolvers as my beloved S&Ws, but I think I have it worried. Anyway, if I can get it running right, it should sell quickly. Also, started working on an 1880s '73 Winchester in 44-40, but I am afraid it has been beat to death internally by someone shooting smokeless in the poor mud puppy.
