As to Heinz  57 version  ..my 1st. 1911 was one   Remington Rand Frame, Colt slide, parts cashe of GI innards ...shot pretty good

Sold it , and still looking over shoulder the guy offered alot and momma raised no fool .

My heinz isn?t as pedigreed as your as it is all vintage gi with a 1911 Colt 1918 slide, HS bbl, wide spur hammer, small grip safety and small checkered controls but with an essex [boo] frame. But it feeds everything and normally hits everything.

I knew the guy that assembled mine , he was serious 1911 collector , had some rare ones including a Singer
He had a parts cabinet with about 30 drawers of parts  ....and bins of frames.

I mention I wanted a 1911 ( this was about 1985-86) ...he said he'd build me one , he knew his stuff. it was GI Mix-master but shot great....
I don't remember the price maybe $200

About 20 years ago , a dude at work said he wanted it ....said he'd pay up too ...he did !

Don't know if that could be imported across the DMZ.

If it could, the price plus taxes and dollar difference would buy another NORC ....  :'(
