True craftsmanship
« on: February 05, 2017, 10:52:06 AM »
I know this is "do it yourself" leather, but many of us don't have the time or skill to do it yourself. David Carrico of Carrico's leather works is a true craftsman.

I first got acquainted with David when I was doing Civil war re-enactment about 15 years ago.  He always had awesome, correct (non-farb) stuff.  recently I re-contacted him and bought a gorgeous Fairweather Christian belt from him for my SASS persona, and it ROCKS.  It has an 1874 belt plate, and 40 leather 45 Schofield loops on it.  His sizing is spot on.  David is a great guy and makes excellent quality.

I have posted this before, but I want to say it again.  Carrico Leather and Dave Carrico are top notch in every way. His work is second to none.  He stands behind everything he builds and his work is impeccable.  He is a gentleman, a man you can trust, and a man who I have no hesitancy in doing business with.  I have two of his rigs and they are gorgeous.  His prices are reasonable (actually for the workmanship you will receive, more than reasonable).  Others may come close, but Dave is tops.

You guys think his gun leather is good you should see Davids other work like his notebook covers. They are incredible, he just posted one on facebook that was a Christmas present and customized with hand carved name.

I had met David on location I don't recall which film , there were several ...  North & South  or Gettysburg maybe ? or Into the West ?
As a Mounted Reenactor I used Carrico Leather Horse tack , super strong and high quality Halters leads & Headstalls.
When I needed a Holster for my S&W # 3 I called David and he did not disappoint me having one in stock we made swap and the holster is still going strong.

when planets align...do the deal !
