Gators in Nebraska? Has the irrigation ditch gotten infested with them since I was up last?

G'morning, Gents, coffee is good, thanks.

I don't know why I am up so early this morning, but I'll make the best of it. Dadgummed school bus has been wandering around the neighborhood at all hours of the daylight the past week, is stopped just outside of my house on the main drag in the "hood", just sitting there rumbling, shaking the house; irritating - sounds and feels just like a flight of Hueys coming in at a distance.

You folks going to Newbrasky have a good time, and safe travels.  I hope it doesn't get excessively hot there like it is here; it's setting records for HOT - 115 yesterday, they say.  It was 114 on my patio, in the shade, and with a breeze yesterday at 1800 hrs..  Considering how weather generally moves from our neck of the woods on to the east, this hot spell we're having could make things uncomfortable.  Keep plenty of water and shade handy, and have a good time.

I'm thinking some food might be a good thing; gonna go see what I can find.

Later.

Speaking of gators...there have been two reported on the beaches in Galveston.  The most recent was a 13 footer.  He was dead, and folks were posing for photos.  Suspected these guys got displaced by the recent floods.

Afternoon all.

115? No thanks.  It's supposed to be 90 here today, but right now it's about 85.  We'll see how this works.

Up early again, needful of a cup of something strong, dark, and stimulating - thanks.

Only got to 113 yesterday, and the guessers are saying the heat is on the wane for a few days; hmph.

Gonna go see what sort of mischief I can get into.

Only 96here in Mid Mo, but near 50% humidity. Finished work for a few days, time to get back out in the heat and get the car loaded to leave tomorrow for Nebraska.

Morning everyone (at least all those left).  Coffee is hot and the tea is iced.  Tea may be nuked if you prefer it hot!

Best wishes and hope for a safe trip to everyone in or headed to Nebraska.  Hope the state  don’t sink from all the added weight!

I think I know where Del’s ‘gators came from.  Airplanes!!  The government refers to that area as “flyover country”, and these guys just bailed out, as they flew over  ::) ::)!

The weather has been great, but a little on the windy side.  With the heat, low humidity and wind we have fire warning up in the afternoon.

Celebrated the Summer Solstice and the wife’s retirement, with a couple rounds of miniature golf.  Today or tomorrow it’s a trip to the Reno Rodeo.

Boy, it’s nice to be young again 8) 8)!!
