A Decent Swivel Knife
« on: September 29, 2021, 10:51:10 AM »
I'm always looking for a good tool for a reasonable price. Last year I got one of these ball bearing swivel knives to try out and it's a fine tool. Not quite the quality of a Hackbarth or Barry King but much better than the cheapos that you find at the craft stores. I thought I'd pass it on to the forum here in case there's someone who wants to upgrade to something that works but doesn't want to front for a $60+ tool. At half the cost, this swivel knife is a good deal for someone who wants to step up to a better tool.

I tried this one with my home made edge beader tip and it works great.

Thanks for the heads up. Always open to adding tools that may help out.

That tip you have there would be wonderful.

There's no such thing as too many good tools. If you get one, I hope it works for you.

It's good to share these things. I haven't tried the blade that comes in it, having no real need for another straight blade but it might be a fine one. It is a standard blade size so you can put anything you want in it.

Thanks for the review Marshall. That looks like a very nice beader blade too.

Thanks, Cliff. that beader does work pretty good. To use only on edges, it would benefit to have the long side longer. I also have used it to smooth out other beads, though, by tilting the blade to the side slightly.
