There is a limit to the size of the image you can upload:

Allowed file types: txt, bmp, jpg, jpeg, gif, pdf, mpg, png, doc, pdf
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 1600KB, maximum individual size 400KB.

On the iPhone you can select image size before you upload. See bottom of the screen on your phone.

The one I attached here from my iPhone is 4.2 mb in original size, but I uploaded it in medium size to get it under 400kb.

So you know how to do this with an Adroid

Android doesn't make it easy....

You need a resize app installed. There are a few available:

Marshal,

My wife (dog trainer and German Shepard lover) would say Ranger has you well trained. (smile)

If we allow unlimited sizes ( pictures from smartphones can be 3-4 mb in size ), we will fill up the server fast and we will have to expand disk space which again cost money. Later version of the software might provide a resizing feature automatically within the forum, but as of now we do have to limit the size.

On the iPhone you have the option of selecting size as described above. Android doesn't have that option.

If you can't or don't know how to resize an image on a desktop (PC or Mac), you can use an online service such as https://resizeimage.net .

I went prowling around on my iPhone and don't find a way to resize.  No selection unless I don't know where to look.  I have NEVER been able to post photo's on CAS City.  EVER.

If you're using the iPhone posting on the forum and attaching/selecting a photo you should have the option of choosing image size. Medium size will bring under the max size limit. In the next post, I will post from the iPhone with the method shown here.
