Well I was stumped on John Wayne's character so I had go find the video and look it up.  It was Tom Doniphon (?sp)

Couldn't be any righter than that.

"I knew'd a fellow once, his wagon team got away with him and run a wheel spoke right through his middle. Bled hisself out, right there. Don't you know how easy it was? It was like taking a little sleep under a shady tree, didn't hurt none at all. He just got kind of drowsy, and he just, well, he just dozed off. Well, sir, it ain't gonna be that easy for you. No, sir, not that easy."

I sure am glad for AMC I wouldn't know this one if they hadn't been showing Will Penny for the last week.  But I can't remember if Will said it to Quint or if Quint said it to Will, but it definitly was from Will Penny.

AMC, TCM, and The Western Channel make TV worth watching. I could take or leave the rest.

That would be Jason (James Garner) to Joe Danby (Bruce Dern) in Support Your Local Sheriff.
Right on all counts!!  Well, Garner's character's full name was Jason McCullough, but it'll count.

Let's try this one:

If he told me I left town 15 minutes ago, I'd believe him.

Come on, Sidekick, you're on a roll.  Preacher Quint made the statement in question in the movie "Will Penny".  What is the actor's name who played Quint?

"Do you see this fine thing? Do you admire the humanity of it? Because the human beings, my son, they believe everything is alive. Not only man and animals. But also water, earth, stone. And also the things from them... like that hair. The man from whom this hair came, he's bald on the other side, because I now own his scalp! That is the way things are. But the white man, they believe EVERYTHING is dead. Stone, earth, animals. And people! Even their own people! If things keep trying to live, white man will rub them out. That is the difference."

It was a wild guess. I have no idea who the actor/character was.

Character's name was "Old Lodge Skins".  Surely with that much, you can come up with actor's name.
