Dang it, JW, you promised not to tell anyone!

Here's the wierd part. When I bought this land, it had a structure on it that was about 15x 16. Had a roof, a dirt floor, several metal folding chairs, and screening up to about waist high all around the perimeter. No walls, but it had a fence gate for a door.

I think it was used for cock fights.

This is what it looks like with a new roof and a floor put in. That's Will Brigand's foot in the hammock:



I have found all kinds of stuff on the property, including a one holer with a lock on it (Delmonico will like that), a camper with one wheel, and the remants of what looks to be a hunting cabin, along with fencing, piping, drainage pipes... still no copper tubing, yet, I figure they took that with them when they left.

I'd like to get a decent metal detector just to see what all is out there.

Might not be cockfights and moonshine might just have been some folks simpley growing things. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Remanants pottin' soil a few seeds, empty aluminum foil boxes and empthy flooooesant light fixtures leads me to think the attic of my house was used as such one time.

Also still have trouble with WEEDS tryin' to grow behind my shed, right in my cookin' area.

Roundup works well and is safer than Paraquat.   However a small pond in a cow pasture surrounded by such weeds is the best place in the whole wide world to hunt doves. ;D

Kinda looks like a resting spot on the underground hog highway.

See back in the old days people there were really attached to their hogs, took'em everywhere they went. 
And as they traveled they naturally needed a spot to park them for a bit, not everyone let them in the house, though most did.

Ok, I'm rambling and full of manure, nice picture Annie!

Thank you, Michael, it could have been, but there was no house on the land.

After Isabel came through last year, one of the neighbors let it slip that a dead body was found on my property a while before I bought it. It was in the ravine, they thought he'd been killed someplace else and dumped there.

So folks also think my land is haunted...

You know, Buck, that would be a practical thing to do.

That's one of the benefits of being a gerl, I don't have to be practical all the time!

Actually, that part of the property is fairly well removed from where I live and is closer to my neighbors. My "ghost" and the "Blair Witch Project" appearance of the land does a pretty good job of discouraging unwanted visitors, but I wouldn't want to tempt them.

So, I converted it to the pavilion you see in the pic. It is a quiet place of solace and solitude. When I think about it, I have in mind an American version of a place for a Japanese Tea Ceremony. It even has a place off to the side for building a cook fire.

I have, however, been tempted to load my truck with my WorkMate loading bench and all the makings, moving it to the pavilion, and spending the day out there making ammo.

Jw, thats not Annie's neighbor thats one of the kids that hangs out and smokes cig on the corner by the High School where my step daugher goes to school.

Tango Mike ya need ta hang around here more they often deterate to this round here. :o :o ::)  Scecally when Siver Creek Slim ain't disapered on us cause it's ussually his fault. ;D ;D

Are you sure tht's not a photo of Slim when he's back in Wisconsin.  If he had too much EEESSSPPPRRREEESSSOOOOOOOO on the way he might look like this. ??? ;D ??? ;D ::)

You see, there is an explanation for all this. JW's sister in law's cousin by marriage is my brother in law's, niece's god parent, so he got access the family albums.

Delmonico got involved because I met him through Slim. As a result:
