Howdy Folks! This is my first post to the Forum, and I just want to say 'hi!'
Here's a couple pics of my cowboy guns. I'm still in the process of getting started in all this, so I only have two so far -- one pistol and a rifle. I have a couple friends who are good enough to loan me a second pistol and a shotgun when I go to a match. I want guns that feel right historically to me, so I've been taking my time. I have a second Uberti on order.
The pistol is the Uberti Cattleman copy of the Colt Peacemaker, 45 Colt, in the 'antique' finish, which I fell in love with when I first saw it.
My rifle is a wonderful old Winchester '92 in 44-40. I got pretty lucky with this one. I got it from a friend of mine, an older gentleman who's not shooting anymore. It's in very good condition -- smooth, tight action and a crisp trigger -- and it shoots beautifly. I looked up the serial number (91xxx) in a friends book after I got it and was surprised to find it was made in 1895. So I guess it's the 'real thing.'
It sure is purty.
