Howdy from Idaho
« on: October 04, 2004, 09:12:05 AM »
Came across this forum the other day and added to my list.

I shoot Uberti Colt .45's, a '73 rifle and '66 carbine in .45 and use a 12 gauge Rossi Overland coach gun.  Also own a 3rd gen Colt .45 pimped out in nickle with factory ivory grips (but I don't use it for CAS) and a Taylor's Sharps in 45-70.

Thinking about finally doing my own reloading (I currently depend on the kindness of others) and shooting my Sharps with black powder once I run out of the factory loads.

Just a thought about a topic with which I'm familiar, don't waste your energy discussing other forums.  They have their policies, you have yours.  Bad blood only begets more of the same.  It ain't worth the energy during our short time here on earth.  Just my thoughts.

Howdy Chilly,

Where in the great potato state are you located? I'm in the Boise area where we can shoot about 6 times a month.

Grubslinger,

I'm in Twin.  We had a house in Boise for the weekends but weren't using it much so we sold it.  Then I learn about how often you guys shoot there!  I was on the same posse as Kuna Desperado at the Idaho Territorial ShootOut a few weeks ago.  The boy's fast.

I'm shooting in Jerome on the 4th Saturday of the month and wish I could shoot more but it's a long drive to Boise to shoot for 2-3 minutes...  We're talking about adding a second day each month next year.  At least I can shoot out back as I'm out in the country.

Morn’n Chilly,

Hey, I just found out the Idaho State Shoot will be held in Boise this year. First time the State Shoot will actually be held in Idaho and not in Nevada. Should be a fun time, hope to see you there…..

Even'n El Peludo,

I said about the same thing a few years ago when I saw where the shoot was being held.  "Why go to Jackpot for the Idaho State Shoot?"  Things always have a way of righting themselves........
