About 20 years ago on TLAPD, there was a website that would assign you a pirate name. You had to go through a long questionnaire, which I did and it assigned me "Black Davy Cash". :)
So I've been waiting for someone to start Pirate Action Shooting. Two single shot pistols, a blunderbuss, and a cutlass. ;D

I have shanghaied my work every year since 2006 into celebrating talk like a pirate day. I send out emails offering insight on pirate history and such, and point out that Talk Like a Pirate Day and a certain Jolly old Elf stole a lot of the songs from talk like a pirate day. Songs have included:
100 Days of talk like a pirate day (way more than 12 andno freeky relying on bird references.)
Oh Cannon Boom
Come Sail Away (not a holiday song, but orginal was stolen by a rock band fixated on mythological Greek rivers)
Sailing oer' the sea (not as cold as dashing through the snow)
Twas the night before Talk Like a Pirate Day (Yes Virginia, there is a Blackbeard)
I think between songs and history, I have a 210 page document on Pirates.
I think Pirate Action shooting would be great. Was so windy at GAF Grand Muster this year, I did not wear my hat, but tied a black scarf over me head. Someone did call what I was doing Pirate Action Shooting. My pistol is in the works, but I am ready with naval musket, cutlass and coconut powder flask.

I do and the lack of pirates have led to Global Warming. A graph of piracy and global temperature are inversly related, less pirates, higher global temperatures.
